Head of Channel 14 of Turkey has announced that Turkish and Azeri speakers from across the world watch ‘Da’vat’ (Invitation) program aired from Imam Reza holy shrine in northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad during the holy month of Ramadan.

Hawzah News Agency – “Fortunately, the special Iftar program is warmly welcomed by the viewers of Channel 14 from across the world who are Turkish- and Azeri-speaking people from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Moscow, Georgia, Kosovo, etc. follow the channel”, said Musa Aydin, head of Turkey’s Channel 14, stressing that it was the first Shia channel to broadcast programs on Türksat.
He explained that the majority of programs on the channel were in Turkish and 20 percent were in Azeri, adding: “Both Shias and Sunnis watch Channel 14 programs, which are partly news and partly Islamic teachings aired mostly during the months of Muharram and Ramadan”.
Aydin continued that the channel’s special Iftar program used to be aired live from Istanbul each year, but “this year it is broadcast live from the holy shrine of Imam Reza and is vastly welcomed”. He further gave some details about special programs on Qadr Nights (Nights of Destiny).
Da’vat special program has been aired live from the holy shrine at 20:30 for 90 minutes since the start of the fasting month of Ramadan.
